Thaddeus Ray Purvis, (a.k.a. Thad or Leo) was born 16 Aug 1973, in Newport News, VA.  He left this earth on 20 Nov 2018, now safe in the arms of his Savior.

Thad was proceeded in death by his father, Donald Ray Purvis and his brother, Russel Earl Ward.

He is survived by his mother, Annette Ward Purvis, of Newport News, VA, her fiance’ Tim Hill, also of Newport News, grandmother, Audrey M. Gray, of High Point, NC, Aunt, Jackie Ward, of Stoneville, NC, sister, Dawn Loudenback, brother-in-law, Joe Loudenback, nephew, Zachary Loudenback, of Smithfield, VA, nieces, Tiffany Hope, of Windsor, NC, Victoria Jennings, of Greenville, SC, and their families.  Also paternal cousins, Tommy, Tony, and Tim Joyce, of Asheboro, NC.

Thad was a man who loved all people.  He always stepped up to help anyone who needed a helping hand.  Although Thad had many struggles in his life, he always had a smile for everyone.  He never met a stranger; to him everyone was a brother or sister.

Thad’s caring heart touched many lives.  We will surely miss him but heaven has gained a truly special Angel.
