Ralph “Ralphy” Joseph White III
Norfolk – Ralph Joseph White III “Ralphy” passed away on July 23, 2017 at the early age of 69 in his home. He was born on January 24, 1948 to Ralph Joseph White Jr. and Virginia Hobbs White.
He was a native of Norfolk, VA where he attended Christ the King, Norview High School and Old Dominion. He worked at Norfolk Southern Railroad as an Electrician where he retired in 2008. He also severed 7 years in the National Guard.
“Ralphy” had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids teaching them to enjoy everything he enjoyed. He loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and watching any sport his grandkids would play. He especially loved camping at Kerr Lake with his daughter, son-in-law, grandkids, and their friends where he himself spent many years as a small boy with his parents and brothers. He will be truly missed by his family and his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Joseph White Jr. Left to cherish is memory is mother, Virginia Hobbs White; daughter, Christie L. Harris and her husband, Greg Harris; grandchildren, Gregory F. Harris II and Hayden Lynn Harris; 3 Brothers, James Edward White and wife Sue White, Gary Stephen White and his wife Tammy White, and Douglas White; and many nephews and nieces.
A private “Celebration of Life” will be held for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
