Lorraine Jean Fearing passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Bangor, Maine on January 28, 1942 to Quentin and Nancy Ember. Following high school graduation, she married the love of her life, Robert G. Fearing, Sr., who was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. They traveled to many destinations, including Germany and Japan as well as New York, Nebraska and many other locations. In 1979, they were stationed at Langley Air Force Base, where they retired from.
After retirement, they moved to Lake Gaston, NC, where they both enjoyed their dream location. Lorraine had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She also enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, other crafts and loved the company of her fur babies.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents and two brothers-in-law.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Rob G. Fearing, Jr. (Debbie); grandson, Brandon R. Fearing (Dani); sister, Carolyn Payne; uncle, Fenton A. White and sister-in-law, Bonnie Fearing. She is also survived by nieces, nephew and other extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Jim Weston on Friday, October 26, 2018, 11 a.m. at Menchville Baptist Church, Newport News.
