Jerome D. Borum was born August 17, 1958 to Ms. Edna (Perrin) Banks in Yorktown, VA. Jerome was a natural at almost everything he set out to do, from shooting his smooth fallback jumper to being the neighborhood go to mechanic. His charisma and charm made it hard for anyone to do anything other than love him and want to be around him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna (Perrin) Banks; stepfather, Charles Gregory; brother, Nathaniel Borum; sister, Barbara Washington and niece, Danielle Sheldon.
He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Katrina Warren (Darryl); son, Jason Washington; son, Travis Banks and daughter, Bianca Banks; 15 grandchildren, Kahlil, Trason, Kasir, Darryl II, Kendyll, Irmina, Jada, Carter, Malik, Tasjae, Travis, Jashaun, Samiyah and Zariah; 5 great-grandchildren, Nova, Kory, Ma’khai, Malayah and Alayah; sisters, Joan (Banks) Carter, Shirley Borum and Sheila Andrews; brothers, Wallace Borum, Glen Banks, Chauncey Banks and Ray Banks and a host of nieces and nephews, whose love for their Uncle Jay was infinite.

A memorial service will be conducted at Grays Missionary Baptist Church, 380 Union Street, Hampton, VA 23669. Date and time will be determined at a later date.
Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with arrangements.
