I am proud to have known Don. He was remarkable.

Don was an excellent person, engineer and people manager. Some at Central Soya said Do not hire him as he would go back to NY. He did but then came back to FW. Don asked the people at plants what they needed. He found a way to work their needs into their/his project. As Louis said, Don, upon retirement, was in charge of all Bunge Corp engineering. His predecessor was finally demoted and banned from SL. Tim knew what Don brought to the table and in his quiet way Don was able to lead by example.

Joy, this is Tim Hodson. I was just now informed by Bob Marshall of Don’s passing. I see it has been a month now. I am shocked and deeply saddened. Don was somewhat of a mentor to me. He was unique. A wise and totally honest man of faith and integrity. I learned a lot from him and both respected and liked him a lot. It is hard to absorb that he has left us for now. I have already said a prayer for him and for you. My thoughts are with you. I know how close he was to you and family. He loved you all very much. I hope your last few years together were good ones. You have my sincere condolences. Please know that you will see him again. May God bless you and your family in this difficult time. Tim
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
