Betty Lou (nee Hartmann) Wood, 80, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 in Virginia Beach after a tough battle with numerous health issues. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 6, 1940 to the late George Rufus Calvin and Velma Lucille (nee Thomas) Hartmann.

She worked with her son at AAA McCoy’s Right-Away Moving and Hauling for several years and took over ownership after his death, until her own failing health forced her to retire.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, David L. and George C. Hartmann, and her sons, Joel A. and Edward A. McCoy.
She is survived by her husband, Charles B. Wood; son, Richard P. McCoy (Sandy); and daughter, Rebecca R. Dutsch (Gary), all of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Denise, Michael, Jason, Matthew, Julianna, Justin, Ryan, and Brandon; several great-grandchildren, Selena, Sebastian, Brandon, and Hayden.
